The Amazing Grace Bible Study

The Amazing Grace Bible Study is non-denominational and focuses on Jesus Christ. We avoid doctoral issues that tend to separate Christians along denominational lines.

The Study is one that we have written specifically for our program, and is based on the hymn Amazing Grace. We open with a look at the story of John Newton, and how he came to write the song. Then we begin a systematic study of each verse. Special emphasis is given to the first verse as it most clearly presents the gospel message. Participants complete a worksheet handout during each lesson using fill-in the blank and short answer questions.

The Bible study is taught first, followed by the guitar lesson on the same day or evening. Amazing Grace is the first song that is taught in the guitar portion of the program.

Can partners use another Bible Study?
Yes. The Bible Study that you choose must doctrinally align itself with our statement of faith that is listed in the Partnership Agreement.

Are there any tips for teaching the Bible study?
We encourage our Bible study leaders to continually engage participants when reading Biblical passages by asking:

• What does it say
• What does it mean
• How does this apply to my life?

What about Leadership Training?
A Noteworthy Ministries representative will visit our partners locaton to provide leadership training. When this is not possible, various training methods through DVD’s and other technology can be utilized.
